RDT Choreography Workshop
Our CIA company (Senior Company & Adv. Workshop) will be heading to the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center on October 13 & 14, 2017 to create and learn a brand new piece by RDT’s Dan Higgins & Tyler Orcutt.
Friday October 13th, 5:00-8:00pm at the Rose: choreography
Saturday October 14th, 9:00-1:30 at the Rose: technique class followed by choreography
The cost for this workshop is $50 if we can get 20 dancers. If we can get 15, the cost will be $65. Dancers will need to bring their own water bottles and snacks. If the company can afford snacks for everyone, we will provide it. We need 15 dancers to make this happen – although, I hope that everyone will participate.

NOTE: The Saturday rehearsal will take the place of 10/14 Adv. Workshop class – no additional class will be held that Saturday at SVCD. Thursday’s 10/12 Senior Company class WILL be held as usual on top of Friday & Saturday’s rehearsal.

Creativity In Action
Creativity In Action (CIA) is a performing company made up of dancers of various ages. Intended as an extension of the regular weekly training our dancers have during the week, CIA offers them an opportunity to work with professional choreographers, develop their own creative ideas, choreography on each other, and produce a yearly concert based around a chosen theme. Smaller performances are also schedule to give these dancers more experience as performing artists. Retreats, workshops, over-night stays are also organized to help push these dancers to learn, discover, and connect more with the art of dance.
CIA Made up of three performing groups:
- Junior Company: for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade dancers – meets on Mondays from 4:00-5:30 pm
- Senior Company: for 7th & 8th grade dancers – meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm
- Advanced Workshop: for 9th grade dancers and older – meets half of the year on Saturdays, other times on Thursdays. Please see the full calendar for a list of exact dates.
